District 158 Board regular meeting – August 18, 7 p.m.

LANSING, Ill. (August 15, 2021) – The August 18 meeting of the District 158 School Board begins at 7 p.m. The meeting will occur at the Administration Center, 18300 Greenbay Avenue in Lansing. Guests should enter the building through Door 1, and are encourage to wear a face mask if not fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Socially-distanced seating will be available.   4. NEW BUSINESS
    • Approve the Resolution providing for the issue of approximately $7,405,000 General Obligation Limited Tax Refunding School Bonds, Series 2021, of the District, for the purpose of refunding certain outstanding bonds of said School District, providing for the levy of a direct annual tax to pay the principal and interest on said bonds, and authorizing the execution of a Bond Purchase Agreement with Raymond James & Associates, Inc., in connection with the sale of said bonds
    • Approve up to 50 refurbished laptop computers identified by the administration as unnecessary for school district purposes and authorize the Superintendent to distribute as presented
    • Closed session to consider information regarding the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)) and the setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(6))

Schedule and Open Meetings Act

District 158 meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.

The Open Meetings Act requires that “An agenda for each regular meeting shall be posted at the principal office of the public body and at the location where the meeting is to be held at least 48 hours in advance of the holding of the meeting.” District 158 posts agendas and board packets in a folder on its website.
