Trinity Lutheran Church to resume in-person monthly meals July 26

By Josh Bootsma

LANSING, Ill. (July 16, 2021) – After suspending its monthly meals last year because of the pandemic, Trinity Lutheran Church started offering drive-thru service in January of 2021. On Monday, July 26, the church plans to resume its practice of feeding over 100 people inside its gym.

Monday’s meal is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and is free as long as supplies last. Meals are held inside the gym at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 2505 Indiana Avenue. Meals are generally held on the fourth Monday of each month.

During the pandemic, volunteers packaged meals for recipients, who would drive by and pick them up.

The church has invited the Lansing Police Department and the Lansing Fire Department to partake in the meal as well.

Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 2505 Indiana Avenue, Lansing, IL.
