Thornton Township releases Black History Month video program

SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (February 28, 2021) – As Black History Month draws to a close, Thornton Township has released a video program in lieu of its annual in-person program to celebrate the month.

The nearly forty-minute video includes messages from township staff as well as poetry and dance performances. The video also includes a “Black excellence” segment, which highlights Black individuals of the past and present who have achieved excellence. The keynote speaker included in the video is Pastor William Fleshman of Abundant Living Christian Center in Dolton.
