Carol M. Skees, nee Gualdiero, age 76, late of Lansing, IL, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021. Loving mother of Thomas (Lisa Wingler) Skees and Candice Irvine. Proud grandmother of Anthony Skees. Dear sister of the late Tony Gualdiero and late Linda Gualdiero.
Carol was afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis for nearly 35 years and suffered greatly from it in her later years. Through it all, she relied on her faith in God. She was the embodiment of “Footprints in the Sand” a favorite poem of hers. Her resilience and strength were an inspiration to all who knew her. Carol was a loving and caring person who had great concern for others even in the midst of her own suffering. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is greatly loved and will be deeply missed. We take comfort in knowing that she is home with the Lord.
