Christmas tree disposal available through January in Lansing

By Josh Bootsma

LANSING, Ill. (January 5, 2020) – The Village of Lansing has said that Christmas trees may be placed at the curb through the end of January for pick-up. Homewood Disposal Service will pick up the trees in their entirety, the Village said. The trees must be without decorations, lights, or a tree stand to be picked up.

For other branch pick-up needs, residents are invited to call Public Works for assistance during the winter months, as the regular branch-chipping service will not resume until April.

Lansing Public Works can be reached at 708-895-7190 during the department’s updated hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Public Works is located at 3300 171st Street in Lansing.
