Larry Medendorp age 63, resident of Joliet, IL, passed away on December 21, 2020. Larry is survived by his beloved wife Terry, daughter Lindsay (Jeff), grandsons Jayden and Landon. Also surviving is his loving mom Frieda Stob, sisters: Donna Snyder, Terri Medendorp, and Joyce Mielcarek, and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his father Henry Medendorp, nephews: Christopher Snyder, Jason Snyder, Aaron Snyder, and Andrew Mielcarek.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor John Holyer officiating. Cremation to follow.
Larry was a long time resident of Lansing, a graduate of TF South High School, graduate of Purdue University-Calumet, proud owner of Del-Mar Cabinets and member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Larry was very active, he loved to play and watch baseball, football, basketball, and golf, and was an avid White Sox fan. He also loved nature, science, and traveling, which he enjoyed sharing with his wife and daughter. He was loved by everyone he encountered and will truly be missed.
