Information provided Thornton Township High School District 205
SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (December 11, 2020) – The following statement was made by District 205 Superintendent Dr. Nathaniel Cunningham Jr. regarding school re-openings in 2021:
Township High School District 205’s remote learning continues to educate students in a safe environment. Effective immediately, Thornton Township High School District 205 will continue remote learning through the end of the third quarter 2021. The district will re-evaluate our status before the quarter ends.
This decision was not made without input, it is based on overwhelming responses from faculty, staff, parents, students, and building committees who were surveyed and supported remaining in remote learning until there is a change in the pandemic.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as it relates to this process. We wish you all a safe holiday season.
Third quarter for District schools starts on January 8 and ends on March 12.
