2021 Consolidated Election pre-filing notice

LANSING, Ill. (December 11. 2020) – It is recommended that all candidates visit the State Board of Elections website——to obtain the 2021 Candidate’s Guide. The Guide outlines the legal requirements of candidates running for public office. Neither the Village of Lansing nor its staff can provide legal advice or recommendations to a candidate running for an elected office.

Filing dates and times for the April 6, 2021, Consolidated Election are listed below. Election documents will not be accepted before or after these dates. Documents must be filed in the Lansing Municipal Clerk’s office located at 3141 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois.

Candidate filing dates

Petition filing period for nomination petitions of independent, new party, commission-municipal, and non-municipal nonpartisan office candidates.

  • Monday, December 14, 2020–Wednesday December 16, 2020, from 9:00am–4:00pm
  • Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 9:00am–3:00pm
  • Friday, December 18, 2020, from 9:00am–4:00pm
  • Monday, December 21, 2020, from 9:00am–5:00pm
