Veterans Day deals and events for veterans

LANSING, Ill. (November 10, 2020) – With Veterans Day upon us, there are many opportunities available for veterans to receive discounts, connect with other veterans, and participate in events. Some are listed below.

Deals for vets

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs created a list of deals available to vets around Veterans Day, including deals on dining, retail, health and wellness, haircuts, and activities. Click here for the list.

Online memorials and tributes

Veterans Legacy Memorial – VLM is an online memorial space managed by the National Cemetery Administration (NCA). NCA manages more than 140 national cemeteries as shrine spaces to honor our nation’s veterans, and extends memorialization of the 3.7 million veterans interred in those cemeteries to a digital memorial space by providing a VLM profile page for each veteran. National Veterans Roll of Honor – The National Veterans Roll of Honor is an online tribute to the service of more than 2 million servicemen and women registered on Together We Served, a service dedicated to reconnecting veterans. Also honored is every soldier, sailor, Marine, airman, and Coast Guardsman who gave his/her life serving our country, from the Vietnam War to Afghanistan, as well as many thousands who died during WW2 and the Korean War.
