LANSING, Ill. (October 26, 2020) – The building that formerly housed Artlynn Photography was demolished Monday, on the corner of Torrence Avenue and Thornton Road. The building is the latest of a handful to be demolished near that corner.
A Village of Lansing official said Rosemoor Funeral home will also be demolished in the near future. Another Village official said the demolitions will leave that high-visibility corner open to new development.
Artlynn Photography’s old building is located at 18007 Torrence Avenue. The business has moved to Evergreen Park, where it provides photography services for weddings and other purposes. With the 2 demolitions on Torrance Ave I most certainly hope the the village dose not bring in another strip mall. No more hair, nail , pawn shops or child care centers. How about a real business that we could all patronize.
