MUNSTER, Ind. (October 15, 2020) – Trama Catering at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts is launching Dinner & Movies this month.

Hosted in the 400-person-capacity ballroom at the arts and culture venue, the events will limit ticket sales to allow social distanced private tables and includes a “movie theme menu” dinner created by Chef Joe Trama paired with a classic film. Events will also feature a special noted guest star participating via Zoom for a Q and A with fans following the movie screening.

The first Dinner & Movies event is scheduled for Friday, October 30, and will showcase director Alfred Hitchcock’s feather-and-pecking 1963 suspense thriller The Birds. Actress Veronica Cartwright, the young star of the film, will Zoom in to chat about working with Hitchcock and her flying co-stars. She will also discuss her fascinating career, which includes starring roles in the original TV chiller The Twilight Zone, and working opposite Cher and Jack Nicholson in The Witches of Eastwick (1987), working in Alien (1979) and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), and most recently playing Jack’s Mom on TV’s Will & Grace.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar prior to the 6:30 p.m. dinner, followed by the movie start at 7:00 p.m., all hosted in the CVPA Ballroom. Following the movie, actress Veronica Cartwright joins via ZOOM from her home in L.A. to answer fan questions and chat about the film.

Tickets are $40 for dinner and movie (plus tax), available by calling (219) 836-1930 Ext. 2. Visit www.cvpa.org for details.

As a COVID-19 precaution, guests are asked to wear “a mouth and nose covering” mask when walking about during the course of the evening but may remove coverings once seated at their table or when in a secluded area and away from others.
