Obituary: Edwin A. Rozendal

July 8, 1945 – September 20, 2020

Edwin “Ed” A. Rozendal, age 75, of Lansing, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Beloved husband of 52 years to Beverly Rozendal, nee Frieling. Loving father of Linda (Dean) Bosman, Dan (Sheri) Rozendal, Doug (Jill) Rozendal, and Lori (Chad) VanOverloop. Cherished grandfather of 19 grandchildren; Tyler, Sara, Lauren, Rachel, Zach, Emily, Marc, Alex, Nicole, Caleb, Amanda, Amy, Joshua, Marisa, Jacob, Jennifer, Madison, Chloe and Mia. Dear brother of the late Ted (Judy) Rozendal, Nancy (Peter) Boer, Bob (Cher) Rozendal, and Cindi (Dave) Veenstra. He was a loving father and grandfather devoted to his family. Ed could often be found at his grandchildren’s activities. He was very active in his church as an Elder, Deacon, Catechism Teacher and Cadet Counselor.  Ed also served on Roseland Christian and Lansing Christian school boards. Ed was a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was loved and respected by many and will be dearly missed, however we find comfort that we will see him again in glory.

Visitation Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Glenwood Lansing Rd, Lansing, IL. Funeral service Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at Bethel C.R.C. with Rev. Cal Aardsma officiating. Private Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery – Elwood, IL.
