Interactive maps show county totals in Illinois and Indiana

LANSING, Ill. (September 5, 2020) – “We want all news publishers, not only the largest ones, to be able to impactfully use data journalism and visualizations in their reporting.” That quote from the HiGeorge website is the voice of CEO Anuj Saigal. He affirms this each time The Lansing Journal meets with him, and the HiGeorge team is continually creating and refining new ways of showing data-heavy information.
Yesterday HiGeorge Data Engineer David Pallet informed us, “We have two new Geo Visualizations for you!!” Pallet and the team created Illinois and Indiana maps that show for every county COVID cases per thousand, total cases, and county population. The interactive maps display the information as each county is clicked or hovered over.
