  1. Thank you for this daily information. I check it everyday.
This page used to show Lake County, Indiana but that info has not been there for a while now. I live in Dyer, Indiana just 5 miles from Lansing (where I grew up). While I appreciate the Indiana state numbers, I miss seeing Lake County where I live. Anyway these totals could return to this page?

    • Hi Janet, thanks for letting me know you are paying attention to the numbers. For a while I was compiling those Lake County numbers from a separate website and reporting them as bullet point. The process was a little tedious, so as a shortcut I started simply including the link to that website. I’m hoping that now that we’ve added another full-time person to The Lansing Journal staff, I might be able spend more time on those kinds of details. Knowing that the details are important to readers is an encouragement, so thank you for writing.

  2. Hi,

I clicked on my LJ for 8/19 to see the COVID numbers but they appeared the same as on 8/20.

So is the updated version shown, even though I am looking at a previous day’s email? Thanks and keep up the good work. It is appreciated.

    • Hi Donna, thanks for checking. I believe the graph automatically receives the updated information as it is released, so the graphs are continually being updated. When we re-post the graphs each day, we are adding some text above the graphs, and we use the numbers that are released that day. So the text of each day’s post is a snapshot in time, but the graphs are fluid and constantly updating.
