LANSING, Ill. (August 11, 2020) – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATION of Thornton Fractional High School District 215 in the County of Cook, State of Illinois, of an E-Learning Plan according to Section 10‐20.56 of the School Code [105 ILCS 5/10‐20.56].
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN HEREBY, that a public hearing on the E-Learning Plan will be held at 6:00pm on the 25th day of August, 2020, via webinar. The link to join the hearing will be posted on the District 215 website (tfd215.org) 48 hours in advance.
The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comment on the proposed E-Learning Plan, which, if approved, will permit students’ instruction to be provided electronically in lieu of being present in the school buildings, while not utilizing the district’s scheduled emergency days. Public comment can be emailed to [email protected] by noon on August 25, 2020. The E-Learning Plan is permitted under section 10‐20.56 of the School Code [105 ILCS 5/10‐20.56].
