LPD closes off Torrence exits Monday, August 10, 1:00pm

LANSING, Ill. (August 10, 2020) – The following alert was distributed via Lansing’s CodeRED message system at 12:10pm on Monday, August 10:

Due to overnight civil unrest in the Chicagoland area, the Village of Lansing Police Department is taking preventative measures to best safeguard our community against any possible threat. Beginning at 1 p.m. today, both the eastbound and westbound exits ramps of 80/94 at Torrence Avenue will be closed until further notice. Drivers will still be able to access the on ramps in both directions. Northbound Torrence Avenue will also close at 170th Street at 1 p.m. and traffic will be diverted. Additionally, access to the Landings Shopping Center is now restricted.
