LANSING, Ill. (September 15, 2019) – Congresswoman Robin Kelly will host her 7th Annual Hiring Event for residents of the 2nd Congressional District on Friday, October 4, 9:00am–12:00pm, at the Lan-Oak Park District, 2550 178th Street, Lansing. More than 50 employers with active job openings will be in attendance.
Companies participating this year include FedEx Ground, Metra Rail, U.S. Courts, Franciscan Health, Illinois Tollway, Pace Suburban Bus, and many more.
Prior to the Hiring Event, Rep. Kelly will sponsor a free Job Readiness Bootcamp on Monday, September 30, 6:00–7:30pm, in the Community Room of the Calumet City Public Library, 660 S. Manistee Avenue, Calumet City. Instructors from the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership will teach job-seekers interview skills and how to prepare a resume.
