LANSING, Ill. (June 29, 2019) – Village staff worked as efficiently as possible on Friday, June 28, and Saturday morning, June 29, to accommodate the long lines of residents who chose to pay for their vehicle stickers in person and who chose to wait until the last two days. The sticker price doubles from $45 to $90 on Monday, July 1.

Though Village Hall is closed on Sunday, June 30, residents can still use the convenient online payment option for a last-minute payment. The online option is always available, but after midnight on June 30, the price will automatically update to $90.

For residents who are not comfortable with the internet, Frye affirmed that any payments dropped into the dropbox over the weekend will be accepted as regular $45 payments. Envelopes put in the dropbox on Monday will be charged the $90 rate.
