Vehicle sticker payment options

Costs increase after July 1

LANSING, Ill. (May 18, 2019) – Vehicle stickers went on sale in Lansing on May 1, and they will continue to be sold through the end of June. Stickers must be displayed before July 1.

All motor vehicles in Lansing are required to display a sticker, whether the vehicle is actively used or only stored within the village.

Residents have four options for paying their vehicle sticker fees:

  1. Write a check and mail it in the envelope included with your application. The return envelope is addressed to a Carol Stream address, but will still lead to your sticker(s) being mailed directly to your home. You may write one check for all vehicles and pets being submitted. Please do not include your water payment or any other payment with your sticker applications.
  2. Write a check and place it in the dropbox on the southeast corner of Village Hall, 3141 Ridge Road. The dropbox is outside the building, so it is accessible 24 hours a day.
  3. Pay online using the Village-hosted secure payment system: www.green-pay.us/TMAV-VPAY/lns/home.html
  4. Pay in person at Village Hall.

Village staff encourage residents to pay their sticker fees as soon as possible, and to use option 1 or 2 for maximum convenience. Since many people wait until the last minute to pay their fees, lines at Village Hall grow longer as the payment deadline approaches.

In addition, the fees increase on July 1 and again on August 1.

After July 1, residents are in danger of incurring a fine of at least $100 for operating or storing a vehicle without a vehicle sticker.
