SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (April 17, 2019) – The Forest Preserves of Cook County is celebrating Earth Day with volunteer opportunities, educational programs, and fun events at many locations, in an effort to further educate the public about preserving the habitat for millions of plants and animals.
In South Holland, Sand Ridge Nature Center will offer artmaking, puppet shows, hikes, and Earth Day Jeopardy. The activities are intended to remind people to be good stewards of the planet every day.
