Extra issue leads to extra advertising deal
by Melanie Jongsma, Managing Editor
LANSING, Ill. (March 14, 2019) – The regular publication date for the monthly print edition of The Lansing Journal is the first Wednesday of the month, and it’s on the presses that prior Tuesday. Our regular April issue is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, so it will be on the presses Tuesday, April 2.
This year, April 2 is also Election Day, so it would be impossible to provide election results in our regular monthly edition. Because participation in local government is so important to the Lansing community, The Lansing Journal has decided to add a special bonus issue on April 10. The April 10 issue will include election results as well as any additional news that happens between April 3 and April 8.
We are grateful for the support of our advertisers who make each print edition possible. We’d love to have advertising support for this second April edition as well, but we know that many businesses budget for just one ad per month. To help with a second advertising decision, we are offering an April special: buy an ad in the April 3 issue, get an ad in the April 10 issue for half price.

If you already know you want to take advantage of the April deal, email us to reserve your place in both issues:
Providing back-to-back print issues while also continuing our daily online news will require extra time and special coordination of our small but dedicated team. We are eager to accept the challenge, and we ask for your patience as we figure out how to make it all come together.
