2019 National Beard and Moustache Championships come to Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, Ill. (February 24, 2019) – Beard Team USA announced the 2019 National Beard and Moustache Championships at the 350 Brewery’s Insanity Factory in the Chicago Southland. The event is scheduled for November 9. The fullest and wildest facial hair will be on display, vying for the title of National Champion. There will be 25 categories in total, including “Brewers Beard” for Brewmasters, Styled Handlebar Moustache, Natural Sideburns, a Veterans category, and four Ladies categories.

Since 2010, the National Beard and Moustache Championship has attracted the wildest and most precisely groomed facial hair in America. This year Remington Beard Boss is the title sponsor. The championship will recognize the elite from amongst the most rugged and original beards across the land.

“Overall, The Nationals is consistently the biggest and best contest in America. If you want to see a wide variety of facial hair styles from every corner of the country (and the world), this is the one to go to!” said Taylor Welden (Austin, TX), 2016 National Best in Show Winner.

“Whether it’s a simple soul patch or a full-on beard that would make the members of ZZ Top jealous, all kinds of facial hairs are welcome here in Tinley Park,” said Tinley Park Mayor Jacob Vandenberg. “We couldn’t be happier to host this national event and look forward to seeing who wins by a hair!”
