LANSING, Ill. (January 28, 2019) – Last week, the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau (CSCVB) announced the release of the 2019 Visitors Guide. The 88-page guide is filled with activities, events, and venues that attract visitors to the Chicago Southland, including getaway ideas, interactive fun for kids, nature centers, and more.

The Visitors Guide can also serve as a resource for residents. “Become a tourist in your town,” says the CSCVB, “by discovering something new, for the family or out-of-town guests.”

Jim Garrett, President/CEO of the CSCVB stated, “Visitors will see that the region offers so much—from golf courses, festivals, events, concert venues, and even yoga in a sculpture park! The Visitors Guide has plenty of fresh ideas and endless opportunities for your next Chicago Southland getaway.”

The 2019 issue also features history lessons designed to get visitors exploring the area. Readers can find out more about Native American influence as well as the movement and settlement of African Americans across the Chicago Southland.
