Obituary: Anthony Peter Rinella

Anthony Peter Rinella, age 94 of Lansing, Illinois, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019. He is survived by his loving children: Donald (Marlene) Rinella and Dianne (Keith) Morrison. Cherished grandfather of: Christopher Rinella, Tricia (John) Zicco, Jennifer (Anthony) Regelbrugge, Timothy (Tyler) Stearns; and great grandfather of: Sloan, Blayne, Reeghan, and Brynn. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rinella was preceded in death by his beloved wife (Katherine) Elizabeth Rinella, son Michael Rinella, and parents Angelo and Josephine Rinella.

Visitation for Mr. Rinella will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019, at St. Maria Gorette Church, 500 Northgate Dr., Dyer, Indiana, from 10:00am until a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11:00am, with Rev. Charles Niblick officiating. Mr. Rinella will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, Illinois.

Mr. Rinella was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving our country in WWII. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church, A Knights of Columbus Member for Lansing Council #3540, a retired member of the Teamsters, and a faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren, and he always had a warm smile and encouraging word to say to all. He enjoyed all his neighbors and always made an effort to go out of his way to say hi. He was loved by many and he will be truly missed.
