TF South Athlete Spotlight: Ketura Wilson

Five things to know about Ketura

information submitted by Matt Tiffy, Assistant Athletic Director

Ketura Wilson
LANSING, Ill. (November 30, 2018) – Senior Ketura Wilson plays varsity basketball for the TF South Rebels. She has been on varsity for two years.

Why do you like to play basketball?

I enjoy playing basketball because it is a very active sport and you can go all out.

What is your favorite moment while playing at TF South?

It was my junior year. I scored 18 points right after I had a death in the family, and I dedicated it to my cousin who passed.

What are your plans for the future for college?

I want to continue playing basketball in college while I also major in education.

What is your favorite subject and teacher, and why?

U.S. History—and Mr. Tiffy is my favorite teacher because during my sophomore year in high school he was really on me about me doing my work and staying focused.

“Ketura has shown great leadership early in the season and has used her own experiences to help guide our younger players.”

–Coach Tim Russell

Each month the TF South coaching staff choose to spotlight a male and female athlete whose performance on and off the field is notable. Students are nominated based on how they have helped their teams and the strength of their academic average that allows them to participate in sports.
