Saturday, October 27, 9:00–11:00am

LANSING, Ill. (October 22, 2018) – Homewood Disposal has agreed to donate two hours of shredding services to Lansing residents this Saturday morning. Their professional shredders will be located in the parking lot of First Church (PCA), and residents are invited to bring any personal or confidential documents that require secure destruction.

First Church (PCA) is located on the corner of Burnham and Ridge, across from Village Hall. They agreed to accommodate the shredding event because the size and positioning of their parking lot will help prevent traffic congestion. (Photo: Melanie Jongsma)

Staples, paper clips, and binder clips do not need to be removed prior to shredding. The shredder can also handle hanging file folders, manila file folders, and spiral notebooks.

The free shredding service applies to documents only, not plastics, office equipment, or combustible materials. Wet or moldy documents will also be rejected because of the effect on the machinery.

First Church (PCA) is located at the corner of Ridge Road and Burnham Avenue. Contact Village Clerk Vivian Payne for more information about the document shredding event:
