LANSING, Ill. (August 12, 2018) – Old and young came together on August 1 to celebrate summer and gear up for the new school year at a special event hosted by Lansing’s Tri-State Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mayor Patty Eidam was also in attendance.
Over 50 children from the Lansing area enjoyed complimentary hot dogs, popcorn, soda, and face painting. Elite Ambulance and the Lansing Fire Department arrived in emergency vehicles and gave the kids an opportunity to tour the ambulance and fire trucks.
Each school-aged child received a backpack filled with school supplies, compliments of Tri-State Nursing and Rehab. “It was a great way to get the community involved and give back,” said Heather Mensik, Tri-State’s Regional Director of Business Development. “The event was a huge success.”
Try-State Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located at 2500 E. 175th Street in Lansing, just north of the former PetSmart building. Call 708-474-7330 for more information.
