MUNSTER, Ind. (August 9, 2018) – Wayne Baker Brooks—musician, singer, songwriter, and author—has a signature style that combines powerful vocals with a rich blues heritage. Brooks, a resident of Calumet City, will perform with his band on the Theatre at the Center stage Friday, August 17, at 7:30pm. The concert will include his new single “Because of You.”
Brooks is the son of legendary Chicago blues musician Lonnie Brooks. He was born and raised in Chicago amongst the most prolific blues legends and blues masters in the world. He joined his father’s band in 1990 and formed the Wayne Baker Brooks Band in 1997. In 1998, he spearheaded and co-authored the book Blues for Dummies.
