Tiny’s Flowers is planning to deliver flowers to local nursing homes
by Melanie Jongsma
LANSING, Ill. (July 2018) – “I just love seniors,” says Tiny Noble, owner of Tiny’s Flowers on Torrence Avenue. She wants to put her love into action by using her creativity, personality, and resources to make Thanksgiving Day a little more beautiful for seniors this year.
Her plan is to spend the next three months putting together 300 floral arrangements to be delivered to nursing homes and senior living communities in Lansing, Dolton, Calumet City, and South Holland. She’s already enlisted the help of her mom and her mom’s friends to start organizing the materials.
She’s also enlisted the help of the Lansing community by asking for donations of vases, flower pots, and rolls of ribbon. “Please drop off donations Thursday and Friday from now until 11/23/2018,” says the flyer. She’s hoping for a variety, because she can work with anything to make a beautiful centerpiece for a senior. Tiny and her family will spend time during Thanksgiving week making those 300 deliveries.
Tiny’s Flowers is located at 18055 Torrence Avenue, next to Crescent Jewelers. Call 708-394-3661 for more information.
Such a wonderful gesture on Tiny’s part to take the time to donate to the seniors. I am sure they will be so happy to have their day brightened by these beautiful flowers.
