LANSING, Ill. (April 5, 2018) – The Village is sponsoring a special event at Lansing’s Historic Ford Hangar on Saturday, May 5, right after the Good Neighbor Day Parade. The event will give residents an opportunity to celebrate Lansing’s 125th anniversary of incorporation, as well as recognizing the State of Illinois’ 200th birthday.

May 5 is also Cinco De Mayo, so the Village has asked Tacos & Burritos Rancho Grande to have food available for purchase. Soft drinks and alcohol will be available for purchase from Lynnie Que’s. Music, dancing, games, and activities will add to the festivities.

“We want to give our employees, residents, and others the opportunity to continue the fun of what we hope will be a celebratory day showcasing our Village,” said Ken Reynolds, Director of Communications for the Village.

Admission is free, and a free shuttle will be provided from Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
