CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (February 24, 2018) – “Boost your confidence and take the next step, from the chair to the floor,” says the Bloom Township flyer for Introduction to Yoga on the Floor. The three-class series is led by Nadine Kelly, MD, E-RYT 200, R-CYT, and will include a slow flow sequence for the joints, a core strengthening sequence, and energizing balance poses. Class members will learn:

  • How to safely get on and off the floor
  • Fall prevention tips
  • What to do if you do fall

The class is not recommended for people with artificial knees or anyone who has recently had hip surgery. Enrollees are asked to consult with their physicians before signing up for Yoga on the Floor.

Classes are scheduled for March 7, 14, and 21, from 8:00–9:00am, at the Bloom Township Center, 425 S. Halsted in Chicago Heights. The three-class series fee is $15.00, and pre-registration is required.
