SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (February 22, 2018) – Felicia Houston will be the Keynote Speaker for the 2018 Chicago Women’s Conference on Friday, March 16. The event will be located at the college’s Main Campus in South Holland, Illinois. Houston is the current President of the Professional Women’s Network, and through workshops and presentations, she educates audiences about mental health, wellness, and the importance of work-life balance. Her credentials include more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, a BA in Psychology and an MA in Human Development Counseling from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Houston is also the Community Development Liaison for UChicago Medicine at Ingalls Hospital.

The 2018 event is the tenth annual Chicago Women’s Conference and will include opportunities for networking and learning. This year’s theme is “Be Your Own Superhero!” and women will have opportunities for networking and learning. Over 15 speakers will cover topics such as Personal Empowerment, Health & Wellness, and Business & Finance. A Women in Leadership panel will give attenders an opportunity to hear from women who overcame challenges and are making a profound difference in their communities.

Last year over 350 participants and 50 vendors attended the Chicago Women’s Conference. Additional information about this year’s event can be found at www.TheChicagoWomensConference.org.

The cost of admission is just $25 per person with advance registration, or $35 at the door. The conference fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and admission to all of the break-out sessions.

Attendees are encouraged to support this year’s charitable recipient, Reclaim13—an organization devoted to ending human trafficking—by purchasing $10 gift cards from retailers like Target, Walmart, or Meijer. These gift cards will be collected at the event and used to help young girls get back on their feet.
