Bloom Township offers Property Tax Assessment Appeal workshop

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (January 7, 2018) – Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will be holding a property tax assessment appeal seminar, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at the Chicago Heights Recreational Center for taxpayers seeking to appeal their 2017 property tax assessments. Bloom Township is open for appeal through January 31, 2018.

The seminar is hosted by Bloom Township Assessor Nora Martinez-Gomez. The hour long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal.

The seminar includes a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak explaining the appeal procedure at the Board of Review. Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns.

This event is free to the public, and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Registration is not required.

Appeal forms also may be picked up at the Board of Review located at 118 N. Clark Street (Room 601) in Chicago. Taxpayers may also file an appeal online by visiting the Board of Review website: www.cookcountyboardofreview.com.
