SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (November 12, 2017) – Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarelli considers it part of his job to provide a “social service safety net” to the 17 municipalities within his township. The Holiday Dinner event his staff organizes every year is one example of that mission in action.
“It is for anyone in the township to attend,” explains Communications Director Ernst Lamothe. Typical attendance is around 1,300, and each attendee receives a free meal.
Because of the size of the crowd, this year’s Holiday Dinner will be hosted by South Suburban College Fitness Center. Doors will open at 11:30am, and meals will be served from noon until 4:00pm.
South Suburban College is located at 15800 S. State Street in South Holland, Illinois. For more information about the Holiday Dinner or other Thornton Township programs, call 708-596-6040, x3168.
