Community Photography: November

November theme: Veterans and Thanksgiving

Community Photography NovemberOur November 1 print issue of The Lansing Journal will have a focus on Thanksgiving and Veterans Day. In fact, we are planning a special pull-out section about veterans. We’d like the November photo spread to be part of that section.

So we are looking for photos of LANSING VETERANS—any age, any branch of the military, peacetime or wartime, uniform or civvies, active duty or not.

Send your photos to [email protected]. Include:

  • The name of the person (or people) in the photo
  • Service details (rank, branch, years, whatever is relevant)
  • The name of the photographer
  • Optional: a message of thanks
The deadline for submissions is OCTOBER 25, 2017.

You do NOT need to be a professional photographer to participate in our Community Photography series. The Lansing Journal is a community newspaper, and we want to make sure our community is represented in its pages. We are looking for variety, diversity, and creativity. We’ll choose as many as we can fit into a photo spread in our November 1 issue.
