GriefShare Group to meet in nearby Glenwood

GLENWOOD, Ill. (September 30, 2017) – Living Springs Community Church in Glenwood, Illinois, will host the internationally known GriefShare grief recovery seminar and support group, beginning Wednesday, October 11, 2017, and continuing through January 31, 2018. The group will meet weekly from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 220 at the church, 19051 S. Halsted St., Glenwood. Two holiday breaks are included in the schedule.

GriefShare provides help and encouragement for individuals after the death of a loved one. The seminar group meets together weekly. Each of the 13 sessions includes a video presentation by a recognized expert on a topic related to grief recovery, such as:

  • “Is This Normal?”
  • “The Challenges of Grief”
  • “Grief and Your Relationships”
  • “Why?”
  • “Guilt and Anger”

The seminar also includes small group discussion, journaling, and personal study exercises.

Cost is $15 per person, and financial assistance is available for those who need it. Attendees are welcome to become part of the group at any point during the 13-week seminar.
