Ann H. Kurey (nee Koval), age 96 of Lansing, IL, passed away at her home on Friday, September 28, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Michel Kurey. Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Elizabeth Koval; brothers: Andrew, Joseph, and Frank; and sister: Mary Schmitz.
Ann is survived by her dear brother: Edward (Gloria) Koval. She was the wonderful aunt of many nieces and nephews, including Judith Del Carlo, Grace Tampa, Jeanne Hohens, and Louise Grzybowski; and the cherished friends of Donna Gill and her family.
Funeral services for Ann will be on Friday, October 5, beginning with visitation from 10:00am–12:00pm at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon. Ann will be entombed at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ann’s name to St. June Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. June Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, or Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, 1140 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60608.
Ann loved to stay active, watch Jeopardy, read romance novels, and travel, especially to casinos.
