Three reasons to go to Cruise Night July 14

by Melanie Jongsma

Lansing, Ill. (July 2018) – Cruise Nights in Lansing are all about community, and the July 14 Cruise Night offers three unique reasons for neighbors to get together downtown.

Cars

If you are into cars—or motorcycles—Cruise Night is an occasion to walk, look, and talk to fellow enthusiasts. Ridge Road is an easy stroll, with plenty of places to stop and sit or grab a bite to eat.

Ice cream

State Representative Marcus Evans and Lansing Mayor Patty Eidam will be hosting an Ice Cream Social from 6:00–8:00pm at Gayety’s Chocolates & Ice Cream (3306 Ridge Road). Evans and Eidam will scoop free ice cream cones while supplies last—but even more important, residents will be treated to an opportunity to discuss in person whatever issues are important to them.

Celebration

Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders has been in Lansing for 20 years—and they’re hosting a Cruise Night Block Party to celebrate. They promise food, giveaways, and music—Cadillac Groove will be performing.

Cruise Night runs from 6:00–10:00pm on Saturday, July 14, and is sponsored by Phillips Chevrolet, Lansing Association for Community Events, Hagerty Insurance, and Thunder Road Productions. The final Lansing Cruise Night is scheduled for August 4.
