SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. (January 31, 2018) – Due to the really cold weather, Thornton Township Supervisor Frank M. Zuccarelli and the Board of Trustees have arranged to give away free coats for kids and adults while supplies last. The coats are all new.

Lansing residents who live north of 186th Street are in Thornton Township
Kids and adults must be present to receive a coat and must be residents of Thornton Township. North of 186th Street, Lansing is in Thornton Township.

“We understand the need in the community is great, and we are here to support our residents in any way possible,” said Zuccarelli.

“It has been an incredibly early cold winter this year, and we know there are residents that could use coats and hats. We enjoy helping out our community,” stated Ernst Lamothe Jr., Thornton Township Public and Community Relations Manager.

The coat giveaway is scheduled for Friday, February 2, from noon until 5:00pm, at Thornton Township Town Hall—333 E. 162nd Street in South Holland. For more information, call 708-596-6040, x3150.
