LANSING, Ill. (December 8, 2017) – With just weeks left until Christmas and 84 percent of Americans still holiday shopping (according to internal Walmart data as of December 4, 2017), Walmart headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, announced “amped up” in-store pickup for the final days leading up to Christmas. An expanded assortment of merchandise is also available for same-day pickup.

Ninety percent of Americans live within 10 miles of a Walmart store, making pickup a fast and convenient option for customers who order online and pick up in store. Walmart sees demand for Pickup Today orders double during the last two weeks of the season when stores turn into Pickup points for millions of online orders.

Customers will have the ability to shop qualifying items—notated with “Free Pickup Today”—online until 4:00pm local time on December 23 and then will be able to pick up those items in store on December 24 by closing time, which is 6:00pm.

Walmart.com also continues to offer free, two-day shipping with no membership required.

Scott Hilton, Chief Revenue Officer of Walmart U.S. Ecommerce, said, “This year, we’ve tripled the amount of items available on Walmart.com, offering customers a broader assortment for their holiday shopping. We continue to focus on providing them with great deals on must-have items, whether they want to ship those items to their home in two days, or pick them up in a local store that same day.”

The Lansing, Illinois, Walmart is located at 17625 Torrence Avenue. Regular hours are 6:00am to midnight, seven days a week.
