Lansing raises Illinois Bicentennial flag

LANSING, Ill. (December 4, 2017) – Governor Rauner invited municipalities throughout Illinois to participate in a 365-day celebration of Illinois’ bicentennial, beginning with a flag-raising ceremony today, featuring the Illinois Bicentennial Flag. Lansing staff members and elected officials gathered at noon to raise the flag and kick off the year-long observance of this state milestone.

The Illinois Bicentennial flag will be flown under the Illinois State flag during the year-long celebration. Questions about Lansing’s participation in upcoming Illinois bicentennial events can be directed to the Village at 708-895-7200.
