Understanding the Lansing Veterans Memorial

Lansing Historical Society invites Tom Luberda to share

Tom Luberda, the past President and Founder of the Lansing Veterans Memorial, is the Lansing Historical Society’s first guest of their new season. His presentation— “The Story of the Lansing Veterans Memorial” —is scheduled for Monday, September 25, at 6:00pm. Admission is free.

The presentation will be held at the historic Ford Hangar, which is just south of the memorial at the corner of Burnham Avenue and Glenwood-Lansing Road.

Luberda’s presentation will include information about the start of the project, the acquisition of the Uh-118 Huey Helicopter, the people honored on the wall, the etched mural by Anna Carroll, and more. Please note, no washrooms are available at the hangar.
